Cole Palmer he was one of the best players of the last Premier League, the revelation of Chelsea and perhaps of the entire championship. So much so that he earned a call-up to England for Euro 2024. However, in the first two days of the group stage, coach Gareth Southgate did not field him either from the start or during the match. Then, on the third occasion, he gave him a snippet at the end, in which he was among the most lively. The attacking midfielder of the Blues he talked about it in an interview reported by Mirror:
“Personally, I think I’m ready but it’s not up to me. I just wait for my turn and when I play I just try to do what I know how to do. When the coach picked me, I was just excited to come on for 20 minutes and I said to myself I’m going to try to do something and make an impact. I wouldn’t say I’m impatient because I know it’s my first tournament and there are players like Saka, Foden and Bellingham in my position, so it’s understandable. But I just wanted to come on and try to impress.”
