After two years of playing at very high levels, the Catanzaro players are tempting many different teams both in the major and lower divisions where some clubs that have the ambition of winning their group are seriously intent on trying to steal some talent from the Giallorossi.
This is the case of Avellino di Michele Pazienza who is looking for reinforcements in every area of the pitch to further raise the bar and go hunting for first place in Group C. According to what was reported by The morning the Irpinia club has in fact set its sights on the defender Stephen Scognamillo and the outside Dimitros Sounas.
The Italian-Russian centre-back, born in 1994, has been one of the defensive pillars of the last three years and last year he made 37 appearances between the regular season and the play-offs. On Scognamillo, however, there is strong competition from Salernitana which is very close to closing for another protagonist in the Giallorossi like Jari Vandeputy. The Greek right winger, also born in ’94, made 35 appearances last season with three goals. Both have their contracts expiring in 2025 and therefore this, barring a possible contract renewal, could be the last useful market window in which to monetize their transfers.
