Giovanni Di Lorenzo he wants to leave Napoli. He said it privately to sporting director Giovanni Manna and coach Antonio Conte and his position became public through the words of his agent Mario Giuffredi. But, according to what was reported by Tuttosportthe Salento manager is trying to mend the rift, considering it a fundamental piece for the start of his management.
President De Laurentiis also spoke about the situation linked to Di Lorenzo: the president did not say it explicitly, but it appears he is ready to further improve his captain’s salary – which he had renewed just a year ago for five years (2028) with option for a further season (2029) – so as not to lose him in view of the new season.
Yesterday in the presentation press conference Conte expressed himself as follows on the Di Lorenzo and Kvaratskhelia cases: “Di Lorenzo, in addition to being a top player: captain of Napoli, won the Scudetto and the European Championships.
