Euro 2024, the Top 20 goalkeepers: two are above the average of 7

Gianluigi Donnarumma dominates the ranking of the best goalkeepers after the Euro 2024 group stage. The Italian goalkeeper kept Italy on their feet in the three matches, playing a decisive role in qualifying for the round of 16. A superlative European Championship so far for Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is being showcased in this tournament. Last year, the Georgian was targeted by Bayern Munich, who were looking for an alternative to Manuel Neuer. It will be difficult for him to accept a transfer to be a reserve: already a hero in the play-off against Greece, where he saved a penalty, Mamardashvili has always been well above average, even in his debut against Turkey, where he conceded three goals.

Seeing Trubin’s performance, perhaps Ukrainian coach Sergiy Rebrov will regret not having deployed him in the debut match against Romania, where Lunin was the negative protagonist, having been specifically at fault in two of the three goals conceded. There are three Serie A goalkeepers present, with Mike Maignan in his super version so far: the Milan goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in the first two matches, only giving up when faced with a penalty kick. An excellent Szczesny was not enough to prevent Poland from being eliminated after a round to spare while Inter player Sommer is the usual safety between the posts for Switzerland. This is the Top 20 of the extreme defenders:
