The group stage of Euro 2024 officially ended yesterday and from 29 June we will begin to get serious with the round of 16. Some coaches will have to deal with heavy absences: in addition to the injured ones, there are also several players who will not be able to take the field due to disqualification.
Immovable starter with Antonio Rudiger at the center of the German defence, Jonathan Tah he won’t be there against Denmark: he was cautioned and booked during the match between Germany and Switzerland. On the other hand, the same thing happened for the former Lecce player Morten Hjulmand, one of the cornerstones of the Danish midfield.
Also Silvan Widmer (ex Udinese) and Riccardo Calafiori they will watch the match between Switzerland and Italy from the stands of the Olympiastadion in Berlin, while Erik Janza will miss the match against Portugal and Nicusor Bancu the one against Holland. Austria will instead have to do without Patrick Wimmer against Turkey, who will have an even more serious absence: Hahan Calhanogludisqualified together with Samet Akaydin.
