Among the players who performed best in the Serie B championship there is certainly Jari Vandeputtewhose name has been among the hottest in the transfer market in recent days with several clubs in both Serie B and Serie A making more or less concrete moves for him.
The 1996 class, best assistman of the last Serie B season – in which he also scored nine goals – had in fact been linked to Palermo and Cremonese in the second division and to Udinese in Serie A with the Giallorossi club which, however, requested 4 million euros cash without technical compensation. A request that had held back the aforementioned teams a bit and favored the inclusion of another club.
It is, as reported by Sky Sports, of Salernitana who would have outperformed the competition on the Belgian footballer and would be preparing to close the operation on the basis of three million euros. The operation would in fact be nearing completion with Vandeputte leaving the Calabrian club after three seasons in which he scored 28 goals with 121 appearances between Serie C and Serie B.
