“Fiorentina is a great club, there is total empathy.” Palladino’s presentation

Raffaele Palladino he officially presented himself as the new coach of Fiorentina. After a first appearance at the joint end-of-season conference of the two Viola directors Pradè and Ferrari, this time an official occasion was set up and from the press room of Viola Park the lily people were able to hear directly from his voice some of the main points underlying of its new course.

For example, on the perspective of how to deal with the experience in Florence, he said: “I arrived very well prepared, Fiorentina is a great club and Italiano was very good at creating a framework. Credit to the club: a path has been made and it must be continued. It’s not so much the start this year but what has been built. The squad is strong, there is harmony and empathy with the club, we talk every day and between now and June 30th we will evaluate everything. We are in perfect harmony, we want to work well and constantly.”

And then again, on tactical ideas: “I’m not a fundamentalist, I don’t use just one system but I like change. I’ve done a lot of experiments in the two years of Serie A: I don’t believe in just one system of play, but rather in principles. Footballers must be intelligent in knowing how to play and also adapt to other positions. Fiorentina has players who can do it: my idea is to start from a three-man defence, 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 as you prefer 4-2-3-1 and we could also use that based on the opponents we will study the system but the initial structure should be three at the back.”
