WeBuild reveals the project for the San Siro restyling to Inter and Milan: the moment of truth has arrived

Moment of truth for Inter and Milan regarding the restyling of San Siro. This afternoon at Palazzo Marino, the technicians of WeBuild, supported by the mayor Giuseppe Sala, will present the renovation plan for the San Siro stadium to the top management of the two clubs. The aim is to demonstrate to the clubs that the restyling of the Meazza is possible without forcing the teams to move out of Milan for the years necessary to complete the work.

The Rossoneri and Nerazzurri – underlines Il Giorno in today’s edition – will listen to the presentation of the project and it is likely that they will take some time to evaluate it. In the background, however, the projects for the new stadiums remain. Milan is aiming straight for San Donato Milanese and is moving forward with the process for the program agreement, while Inter could confirm the Rozzano option.

The general director of WeBuild also spoke about the renovation project in recent days Massimo Ferrari he assured that if the green light comes from the clubs “we would be ready to start work as early as 2025”. We would proceed “with a three-phase plan, based on the major events scheduled: the Olympics, an increasingly probable Champions League final and the European Championships”.

The two clubs have asked for guarantees on the possibility of playing league and cup matches without moving outside Milan and minimizing the impact on ticket sales. And we should proceed “in segments”, with a cut each time of a few thousand places per match (5/6 thousand). Just as there could be around five or six thousand corporate positions to be created in a hypothetical “fourth ring”, created not above the third but between the first and second.
