Denmark-England, the report cards: Bellingham normalized, the cover man is Hjulmand

Final result Denmark-England 1-1

Denmark’s report cards (by Christian Sgura)

Schmeichel 6.5 – Not at fault on the goal and in the second half they surpassed Watkins.

Andersen 6.5 – Both defensively and with his long balls for attack, he is a cornerstone of the Danes, good performance.

Christensen 6 – He finds himself in the middle of the fray in Kane’s goal, unable to ward off the danger, otherwise he isn’t particularly worried.

Vestergaard 6.5 – Saka is on his side and it should be scary, but he handles it perfectly.

Maehle 5.5 – He continually pushes down the right wing, but many times he is imprecise.

Hojbjerg 7 – What a game! When he kicks from outside he is always scary and what’s more he wins many duels with English midfielders.

Hjulmand 7.5 – The 1-1 goal, which he scored with an incredible lash, was the icing on the cake of an excellent performance. (From 82′ Skov Olsen SV)

Kristiansen 5 – Half a vote more for the recovery of the ball on Hjulmand’s 1-1 goal, but the sensational sleep that gave rise to the English advantage is truly unacceptable. (From 57′ Bah 5.5 – He has a great scoring opportunity, but he too falls asleep and wastes it badly.)

Eriksen 5.5 – He can’t find the right ideas. Postponed. (From 82′ Norgaard SV)

Wind 5.5 – Difficult match even for one of the best against Slovenia, Guehi is an uncomfortable customer. (From 57′ Damsgaard 6 – Very active since his arrival)

Højlund 5.5- He tries to maneuver among the rocky English central defenders, not a simple task, considering that very few balls have arrived. (From 66′ Poulsen 5.5- He leaves no particular footprints in the match. )

Annex Hjulmand 7 – If with Slovenia the excellent first 60 minutes were nullified by a dull last half hour, this time their team dominated the English game, especially in the second half.

England’s report cards (by Christian Sgura)

Pickford 5.5 – Maybe he could have done more on Hjulmand’s goal, for the rest of the match he wasn’t very busy.

Walker 6.5 – Kane’s 1-0 goal is largely thanks to him, in the attacking phase he is the usual tireless pendulum.

Guehi 6.5 – Once again the surprise of Southgate’s team: a wall, a security. Even when he makes mistakes, he makes up for it immediately.

Stones 6.5- He keeps Hojlund at bay admirably.

Trippier 5.5- Maehle often escapes him, fortunately without consequences.

Alexander-Arnold 4.5 – Beyond a couple of flashes, he is truly a fish out of water in the two-man midfield, perhaps not his ideal position. (From 54′ Gallagher 5.5 – He enters eagerly, but he too is absorbed by the general English disorder.)

Rice 5- Defensively he does his job, but in construction he really leaves something to be desired. The agreement with Alexander Arnold as a teammate just doesn’t seem to want to happen and he too is affected by it. Confused.

Saka 5.5 – It’s the usual arrow on the right flank, but in practice it fails to create anything dangerous. (From 69′ Bowen SV)

Bellingham 5.5 – He never finds the right inspiration, he’s also bad.

Foden 5.5- He lights up in spurts, hits a pole, but one would always expect the best from him. And, as against Serbia, he is very far from his best. (From 69′ Eze 6) – Some acceleration to get noticed, but in short, nothing that could worry the Danish defense too much.)

Kane 6.5 – In addition to the goal, we see very little and he also loses the ball which started Hjulmand’s 1-1 draw. Replaced midway through the second half. (From 69′ Watkins 5.5 – He has a colossal chance, but hits Schmeichel.)

Annex Southgate. 5 – There is so much to change, from the tactical structure to some of the players. Palmer remained on the bench, missing the game. Alarm bell not to be underestimated, he is called to make a change.
