During an interview given to Courier of Calabria, Bortolo Mutti analyzed the path taken so far by Cosenza and Sampdoria, who will face each other in a few hours at the San Vito-Marulla: “It’s still early to take stock, four games have been played and if we look at the standings everything seems incredible and unrealistic in terms of values. Seeing Sampdoria so low has an effect, they have already changed their coach, unimaginable at the beginning.
So far the newly promoted teams have surprised me: they have ideas, determination and are tactically organised. But in general it is the usual balanced B. I would wait 7-8 games to give a more complete judgement. It is clear that Pisa, Spezia, Cremonese, Palermo, Catanzaro, Brescia and Sampdoria themselves will compete for the top positions. It is a pity for Cosenza, especially for the precarious situation in which they find themselves at the moment”.
The comparison between Tutino and Marulla: “I think it was inappropriate to associate the name of Tutino with that of the great Gigi, a unique footballer and man. Now the attachment to the shirt no longer exists, Tutino behaved as any athlete would do today. Footballers are companies, they look at their economic well-being, their ideal technical situation to make a career. When they immerse themselves in a reality, they rightly embrace the project, they feel involved, but the flags are quickly lowered”.
