England, Watkins: “We are England and people want to beat us. But we remain unbeaten”

Ollie WatkinsEngland striker, spoke on UEFA’s official channels to comment on his debut at the European Championship and the 1-1 draw with Denmark: “It’s strange to say that I made my debut at Euro 2024. It was a beautiful atmosphere, I loved every minute. It’s a shame we were a little short.”

On Denmark, the Aston Villa player born in 1995 then added: “There will be these matches. We are England and people want to beat us. It won’t be easy, we can’t simply crush teams just because we have world-class players. We have achieved one more point, and we are undefeated.”

Finally on his performance: “I like to run behind the defensive line, that’s my game. I like to cause problems for defenders. I feel like I did it, but it was difficult. Denmark did very well, it was difficult for us with their five-man defence.”
