Ukraine, Yaremchuk’s analysis: “No excuses, we must talk and draw conclusions”

Roman Yaremchukone of Ukraine’s most experienced players, spoke after the heavy defeat against Romania in the opening match of Euro 2024: “There are no excuses. Today we didn’t show our game and we didn’t follow the coach’s instructions “Romania deserved this victory, we need to have a good conversation in the dressing room and move forward,” the striker told UEFA’s official channels.

It’s very difficult to say anything after a match like that and I want to avoid getting carried away by emotions. We lost, our opponents won and I congratulate them. We will prepare for the next matches and we will have to give our best, we must unite and draw the right conclusions.”
