Rome, the latest on Hummels: commissions and contract, Ghisolfi studies the operation

The name of Mats Hummels has been in Rome for days and the head of the Giallorossi’s technical area, Florent Ghisolfi, is working to study the possible operation. As reported by Sky Sports the defender, who will be released from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer on June 30th, has been proposed to the Capitoline club and the management really likes the profile, who will try to find a solution in various aspects in the next few hours. International experience, flexibility in defence, both with three and four, and physical guarantees far superior to those of the departing Chris Smalling, given that in the last two seasons the German has played 75 games in total: this is what convinced Roma to think strongly to him, so much so that in the last meetings in Trigoria his name was at the center of many discussions.

Roma’s other offers and ideas.
Ghisolfi is constantly in Trigoria to study various operations, among which there is also the one relating to Hummels, to try to anticipate the competition and bring the central defender to Daniele De Rossi’s court. The defender has received some offers from Saudi Arabia but does not seem to be willing to leave Europe, with Mallorca having tested the waters without however making a definitive move. Roma is preparing its proposal and the issues are linked to agent commissions and the length of the contract, given that the German is 35 years old and it will not be possible to make a long-term offer to him.

In the next few hours there will be news, in one sense or another, but the certain thing is that the Giallorossi are getting serious about replacing Smalling with Hummels.
