La Stampa opens with Tardelli’s words: “Proud of the comparison with Barella”

There is still a lot of enthusiasm for the excellent performance offered by Italy against Albania which immediately earned a fundamental victory for progressing from the group. In this regard, today’s edition of La Stampa reported on the front page the words of the former world champion midfielder in ’82 Marco Tardelli, who said he was honored by the comparison with Barella. In fact, I, the Inter player, was among the best on the pitch for the Azzurri, scoring the 2-1 goal which overturned the Albanian lead.

There is also space for the matches played yesterday, in particular the debut in the tournament of England, one of the national teams most credited with winning the final. For the Three Lions, a 1-0 victory against Serbia thanks to the usual Jude Bellingham, but a performance – overall – that certainly didn’t make anyone frown.
