MLS loses one of the great strikers. Georgios Giakoumakis, center forward from Atlanta, leaves the States to move to Mexico. The 29-year-old Greek was signed by Cruz Azul, who paid almost 10 million euros for his contract.
Giakoumakis arrived in February 2023 from Glasgow Celtic and played 43 games with the American franchise, scoring 24 goals. In the national team since 2020, he has signed 4 times in 22 appearances with the Hellenic selection.
