Empoli fits in on Mr. D’Aversa. However, he has a general agreement with Cesena

Last week seemed to have been the decisive one for the future of Cesenawho, after the farewell with Mimmo Toscano (not yet made official, but the trainer has an agreement with Catania), had dissolved his reservations about the bench: the chosen one, also coveted by Bari, was Roberto D’Aversa. An interest which, as we had reported, then materialized with a meeting between the parties and agreement reached: annual contract with option for the following season.

The classic black and white, the signature, so to speak, had not yet been affixed, and there are now several questions regarding this. As indeed collected by the editorial staff of TuttoMercatoWeb.com, D’Aversa has been contacted by Empoliwhich could change the cards on the table: the choice about the future now lies with the coach who, net of the general agreement with the Romagna players, will listen to the Tuscans’ proposal and evaluate everything.

What is certain is that D’Aversa will be back on track, after the adventure with Lecce which ended last March 11th, when he was sacked after the home defeat against Hellas Verona, which left the Salento Giallorossi team at fifteenth place in the table, with just one point of margin from the relegation zone. A match, the one against the Veronese team, cost the coach doubly dear, as he was sent off at the end of the match for headbutting the opposing player Thomas Henry.
