Any good luck from Italy? Frattesi: “I brought Scamacca… He will dispel the myth of 9”

Why does the coach often call you back? This is one of the questions he answers Davide Frattesimidfielder for Italy and Inter, protagonist today in the press conference from ‘Casa Azzurri’ in Iserlohn, three days before the match against Spain: “Okay, it means that the coach believes in me. Then from outside the match you can see better, sometimes we don’t realize the best position to take and he tries to give you a hand and advice. When the opponents are crushed he asks me to get out of the traffic and move wide so as to have more space.”

Do you Inter fans talk a lot before matches given that there is a lot of talk about the Inter block?
“Certainly the fact that we were together for a year helps, many times you don’t even need to talk to each other to understand things. Just like the combinations with Scamacca, we already know what we have to do. What we did at Inter a little ‘We’ll bring him here.”

How does your time pass here on retreat? Did he bring something from Rome even superstitiously?
“I brought Scamacca with me… (laughs, ed.). Here we spend most of our time in this room that they made for us kids where there are play stations, billiards, pinball machines. We all stay there for a couple of hours together and in my opinion it’s a great thing, that’s where the group is formed. I happened to play ping-pong with a partner I wasn’t too familiar with, Stephan El Shaarawy, and the relationship I don’t play with was born Scamacca because he shoots all the balls, he’s better at the Play Station.”

Here in the national team the midfielders are called upon to score more because of how the team plays
“I believe those are characteristics, they shouldn’t be a burden. In the last three months Scamacca has shown that he can score goals on any occasion, as soon as an opportunity presents itself I’m sure he will exploit it. It is said that a 9 is missing in this national team, but instead we have it”.
