Theo scares Milan: “Stay? We’ll see later.” The point on the future of the Frenchman

“We’ll see later whether I stay or not. At the moment I’m only focused on the European Championship.” These are the words of Theo Hernandez, coming from France’s retreat (in view of the Euro2024 debut against Austria), which scare Milan. In a press conference last Thursday, in addition to announcing Fonseca as the new Rossoneri coach, Ibrahimovic had underlined that the best players (in particular Maignan, Theo and Leao) would remain at Milan, adding: “Unless one of them asks to be sold and in that case we would have a problem.”

Theo Hernandez’s contract with Milan expires in 2026 and for the moment no negotiations have been started for the contract renewal. Having said the now well-known interest of some big names in European football, above all Bayern Munich and Chelsea, it remains to be understood now whether there will be developments in one direction or the other already during Euro2024 or whether instead the discussion will be resumed at the end of the review in Germany.
