The trio is served. Switzerland has a great start to its European Championship, obtaining three points in its debut match against Hungary. The Swiss national team took the lead in the first half with Duah, after less than a quarter of an hour of play, and towards the end of the half they also found a second from Aebischer (man of the match, who also scored an assist as well as the goal).
At the beginning of the second half, Hungary seems to return to the field with a different attitude, they also find the goal that closes the gap, scored by Varga. The reaction was there, but it wasn’t enough because then in injury time Embolo scored the 3-1 for Switzerland which definitively closed the match. A success, therefore, for the Swiss, who reach Germany at the top of the Euro 2024 Group A rankings.
