Longo signs tomorrow with Bari. Two-year agreement with option for a further season

For days now it has been known, for the rebirth after an almost unfortunate year, with the stay in Serie B centered only on the playouts, Bari has chosen Moreno Longo on the bench: the former Como man is the man of the restart, with whom the Apulian club has been in close dialogue in recent days, to arrive at the team that would then lead to an agreement in view of next season. Anticipated only by the contractual termination with the Como team, to which the Piedmontese trainer is still linked (but which does not represent an obstacle).

Playing a decisive role in the entire negotiation is the former red and white captain Valerio Di Cesare who, after leaving football at the end of the 2023-24 season, joined the management of Bari (with a role that will be revealed shortly); the former defender, in fact, has known Mr. Longo since his time with Giampiero Ventura’s Turin, when the coach in question led the Granata Primavera.

Longo’s desire to leave Bari was never even discussed, and the agreement seems to have been reached: as reported Sky Sports, Longo will sign his contract with Bari on Monday, a two-year deal with an option. So all that remains is to wait until the beginning of next week.
