Christensen and the surgical record that makes history: 89 “clean” passes against Slovenia

Andreas Christensendefender of Barcelona, rejoices twice. First of all for the equalizer achieved in the 77th minute against the Denmark in the debut match at the 2024 European Championships thanks to Janza’s goal which put the match back in balance, “cancelling out” Christian Eriksen’s goal. Draw and draw, as they say, in group C where the fearsome Serbia and England are also present.

But it doesn’t end here. The 28-year-old from Lillerød also achieved a personal best during today’s match at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart: the player blaugrana and of the Danish national team has completed all his 89 steps against the opponents coached by coach Kek. A record for the highest number of successful passes while maintaining a 100% accuracy in a European Championship match since 1980.
