Naples, Lyon are knocking for Lindstrom: he can be loaned with the right to buy

Jesper Lindstrom could find a new opportunity for redemption in France, in Ligue 1, to overcome the difficulties of a complicated season in Italy with the shirt of Naples. Nel writes the Corriere dello Sport, according to which Lyon have shown interest in the Danish winger and have started contacts with the Neapolitan club, on the basis of a loan with the right to buy. Lindstrom is in favor of this transfer, eager to relaunch himself in a new championship.

The will of the French club is evident, as is the player’s enthusiasm for the prospect of playing in Ligue 1. Napoli is not against the sale, but sets specific conditions: a loan with right of redemption set at 25 million euros, the amount invested by the Neapolitan club to buy him from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer. Lindstrom is only 24 years old and has a contract until 2028, and Napoli does not intend to sell him. However, Antonio Conte himself wishes to evaluate the player together with the rest of the squad.

Lindstrom’s season in Italy was disappointing, with only 29 appearances and a total of 583 minutes played, an average of twenty minutes per game. He started only two games as a starter, without scoring or providing assists, and his poor participation also compromised his possibility of playing in the European Championships. Looking for a new challenge, Lindstrom sees Ligue 1 as an opportunity to restart and demonstrate his worth.
