“Fake online betting sites: beware of scams”. This is the alarm launched by the State Police Commissariat online.

“In view of the imminent start of the European football championships, fake online betting platforms are appearing on the web promising easy wins and, in case of defeat, limited losses. These are sites with a fraudulent nature which, in some cases, are shared on instant messaging groups in which users are added randomly, in others, they are sponsored through videos that exploit the image and voice of well-known characters, generated with ‘artificial intelligence’, adds the Postal Police.

“By clicking on links or advertising banners – he explains – users are redirected to platforms on which to access the service, it is necessary to register by entering personal and banking data. It is advisable not to click on links that may appear while browsing. Furthermore, to avoid being added to unwanted groups, select the ‘only allow my contacts to add me to groups’ option from the privacy settings of instant messaging apps.
