Greek striker Pavlidis one step away from Benfica. He was the target of Bologna and Fiorentina

Fiorentina and Bologna they may soon have to give up one of their targets for next year’s offense. Vangelis Pavlidisa Greek striker owned by AZ Alkmaar, is in fact very close to a transfer to Benfica, with the two clubs having intensified contacts and in fact come one step away from closing this important negotiation.

For weeks the Portuguese had already seemed to have the advantage over the 1998-born center forward and in the last few hours, according to the Dutch portal Voetbal International, they would have sent AZ the decisive offer to break down the last resistance. Specifically, Benfica will pay 20 million euros for the price tag of the player, author of an extraordinary season in terms of numbers this year: in 46 overall appearances in all competitions, Pavlidis scored 33 goals and 6 assists for his teammates.

Thanks to these numbers Pavlidis ranked 10th in the Golden Shoe rankings (won without too many problems by Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, ed.), with Benfica thus being able to add goals and centimeters to their attack and at the same time accelerate for the transfer of the former Fiorentina Arthur Cabral who, according to various Portuguese media, is leaving after just one season at Da Luz with numbers and impact well below expectations at the beginning of the year.
