Inter, Thuram: “Gladbach gave me a lot, but Inter is another dimension”

Marcus Thuramstriker for Inter and the French national team, told the notebooks of AS of his first months with the Nerazzurri: “Between Gladbach, a team for which I have deep respect and to which I am grateful for many things, and Inter I discovered new things, including much more pressure and a new stadium. I gave everything for I can adapt quickly. Inter is another dimension, because you start the season with the aim of winning Serie A and if that doesn’t happen it’s a failure.”

On the difference in mentality: “It’s clear that all the players who come to train have a clear objective. I also noticed a difference in mentality, because every match with Inter is important, every minute is fundamental to try to win the scudetto.”

On his role on the pitch: “At Gladbach the 9 role helped me a lot in a system in which I played as a lone striker. Then, when you play with another striker it is important to know and talk to the player accompanying you, as happened this year with Lautaro I think that the two systems, both with one and two strikers, do not present major differences. The only thing I notice is that at Inter, with two attackers, we need to occupy other spaces.”
