Renewal and captain’s armband: Juve, this is how Giuntoli tries to convince Rabiot

There Juventus at the foot of Adrien Rabiot, we don’t need much. The Juventus club has yet to officially announce the arrival of Thiago Motta on the bench, but the Italian-Brazilian coach, former teammate of the French midfielder at Paris Saint-Germain, is already a factor in the negotiation for the renewal of the contract.
The current agreement between Rabiot and the Old lady it expires on June 30, 2024, at the end of this season. The director Cristiano Giuntoli has been pressing the player and his mother Veronique, who has always looked after his interests, for some time to reach an extension. The latest proposal puts a contract on the table for another two seasons, with automatic renewal linked to the achievement of certain objectives by the team. Plus, the captain’s armband after Danilo.

The issue, however, is also economic. Rabiot is currently the highest paid player in the squad. One status which he will lose from next season, given the upward contract signed with Dusan Vlahovic. Precisely the agreement with the Serbian center forward is the reference to which he would like to anchor himself madame Veronique, to go beyond the 9 million euros per year, including bonuses, proposed by Giuntoli. It is unlikely that this could happen: the ex-Fiorentina player’s capresto contract, which Juve has been trying to revise downwards for months, is not exactly the best example to give in the Continassa area.
