The First Team for once, the U23 officially: Bonera begins his coaching career

In the 2-5 defeat against Roma, Milan were led from the bench by Daniele Bonera; the former defender, who in his career also played with Parma and Villarreal among others, has been part of Stefano Pioli’s staff for the last five years and now, thanks to the experience acquired, he will officially begin his career as a professional coach by sitting on the bench of Milan U23.

Bonera with Kirovski
The fact that the management has identified Daniele Bonera as the right man to whom to entrust the U23 team gives rise to hope, as does the fact that Kirovski, who has arrived from the USA, is already in Milan to work together with Moncada on this stimulating project, which Milan has no intention of failing. It remains to be understood what the management’s next moves will be, which could set up an immediately competitive squad for the category with the right mix of more experienced and young players, who will almost certainly be promoted from the Primavera.

The situation
Milan has been working for months to have an Under 23 team that will participate in the next Serie C championship. While waiting for the official announcement, which will arrive in June, the club is moving forward and has already decided where the second team will play the its home matches: it will be hosted by the Solbiate Arno stadium, a town just a few kilometers from Milanello; the stadium will be renovated at a cost of 750 thousand euros.
