Naples, the historic group of Azzurri fans Ultras 72 is disbanded: the official press release

The historic Napoli ultras group, Ultras 72, announced its dissolution due to some internal disagreements. Specifically, the son of Alberto Mattera, ultras leader of the group, accused the latter of having fled to northern Italy with his wife and daughter-in-law, branding him as “Infamous”. This is the press release from the Curva B group of the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium:

“In recent weeks we have witnessed a squalid social drama involving a person on our board. After days of meetings and reflections we have arrived at the irrevocable choice to end our story. However, we must point out that, contrary to what was asserted by the creator of this disaster the founder of our group who was born to fill the void left by the ultra commando together with the late Pasquale D’Angelo They have kept the bar straight and have forged generations which unfortunately the new presumed leader has not succeeded in compared to the other groups of the Neapolitan movement for its thirst for protagonism which does not belong to the vast majority of our group. To date the Ultras 1972 experience ends aware of the saying ‘first men then ultras’, since there are no men at the helm it is better to end this one an experience that we will keep within us forever rather than fill ourselves with ridicule for the petty deeds of one of the members of the group. A hug to the guys from Castellammare and the K-soce guys from Paris Saint Germain.”
