Venice, the “Pablito Award” in Pohjanpalo: the awards ceremony will take place on Sunday

Yet another recognition for Joel Pohjanpalo. The striker of Venice he won the “Pablito”, a prize which is reserved for the best scorer in the cadet championship and is named in memory of the great Paolo Rossi. This is the third trophy of the season for the lagoon attacker, who this season also took home the two MVP awards of the month won in February and March, during a year in which his performances were fundamental for his team, which is still fighting for promotion to Serie A (it is expected from the return of the playoff final against Cremonese).

Pohjanpalo, who arrived in Venice in August 2022, scored 19 goals in his first Italian season, finishing second in the scoring charts. Numbers that he has improved during the current season, reaching 22 in the regular season. Pohjanpalo will be awarded by the president of Lega B, Mauro Balata, on the occasion of Venezia-Cremonese, a match valid for the second leg playoff final.
