Marco Baroni says goodbye to Hellas Verona. Three clubs like it, Monza in pole position

Marco Baroni bids farewell to Hellas Verona after an unexpected salvation. In the contact yesterday morning he expressed his desire to leave the Scaliger project, perhaps because he was tested by a truly complicated year, with many transfers in the January transfer window which did not affect his stay in Serie A – with one match to spare. Verona, for their part, had tried to convince the coach, offering him a longer contract, beyond 2025: salvation had triggered the unilateral renewal clause.

So Baroni is on the market and will probably leave immediately. In the last few hours Cagliari have given him decisive attention, but it is probably already late. Because in recent weeks Monza and Udinese had also collected information. The Brianza team must decide for the post Palladino, even if a downsizing is possible after the first two years of Serie A in permanent red. Udinese, on the other hand, still has to decide whether to continue with Fabio Cannavaro, a supporter of salvation who could however say goodbye anyway.

Monza is in pole position. Verona, on the other hand, will try to focus on one of Filippo Inzaghi, Dionisi and Vanoli. The latter, however, seems increasingly closer to Torino and will dissolve his reservations only after Venezia’s playoff final against Cremonese.
