Lautaro’s move: Toro says yes to Inter and renews until 2029

They seemed very far away, but instead everything changed in the space of a few hours. Thursday’s meeting between Piero Ausilio, sporting director of theInterand Alejandro Camano, agent of Lautaro Martinez, had left mixed feelings, more no than yes. The intervention of the person concerned, who reiterated to his agent his desire to remain in Milan and at the Nerazzurri, was needed to break what seemed like a real stalemate.

Lautaro renews. The Bull has in fact decided to accept the offer for the extension made by Viale della Liberazione. The Argentine captain of Simone Inzaghi’s team will extend his contract from the current deadline set in 2026 to 2029. His salary will rise from 6 million euros for the season plus bonuses (around 7.5 million all-inclusive) to 8 million as a fixed base, to which bonuses of up to around 10 million for the season can be added. There will be no termination clause in the agreement.

The next steps. Camano himself spoke of a “principle of agreement”. A new confrontation will be needed, which will take place between now and the middle of next week, in which, moreover, the new president and the first board of directors of the Oaktree era will be appointed at Inter. Also essential steps to put down the agreement with the Bull.
