Klaassen leaves Inter: the option for renewal has expired, but the future may still be in Italy

Davy Klaassen leaves Inter. Last summer the Dutch midfielder signed an annual contract, until June 2024, with an option in favor of the Nerazzurri club for a renewal until 2025. This option, however, expired yesterday and for this reason his departure is now a foregone conclusion .

This was reported by market expert Fabrizio Romano, according to whom the former Ajax player, who will clearly be available on a free transfer as he is not under contract with anyone, already has some Italian clubs. Klaassen’s future, therefore, could still be in the Bel Paese, on his part there would be a willingness to play again in Serie A.

A somewhat predictable ending to the adventure with Inter considering Simone Inzaghi’s limited use of Klaassen: for the 31-year-old only 475 minutes played overall in all competitions this season, including championship and cups.
