Juventus rejoins the ECA, Al-Khelaifi: “Formalized soon. Door always open”

Juventus asks to rejoin the ECA. The news was broken by the same association that met today in London in view of the Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid. At the end, a press release was issued and this is the extract dedicated to the Juventus club.

“The ECA Executive Committee (ExCo.) – reads the note – met today in London for the last meeting of the season ahead of the 2024 UEFA Champions League final to advance several key priorities for European clubs and received a report on Juventus FC’s request to rejoin the ECA. The meeting was also attended by UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafstrom.”

This is the comment of the president of the ECA Nasser Al Khelaifi: “I begin the meeting with very significant news: after having recently had several meetings with management and ownership, I am pleased to report that Juventus has asked to rejoin the ECA, which will be formalized shortly. The ECA’s door is always open to clubs that believe in collective interests, progressive reforms and working constructively with all stakeholders – we are delighted that Juventus is joining the European football family.”
