At 41 the adventure of Pepper at Porto it seems to have come to an end. Legend of the Portuguese club, in which he had two different experiences, the first from 2004 to 2007, as a youngster, and the second in the last five years, the central defender will not renew his contract at Do Dragao.
Reporting it is Record, according to which the plans have changed since Pinto da Costa – with whom Pepe had an excellent relationship and even a promise of extension – lost the elections, in favor of André Villas-Boas. The new white and blue president has no intention of renewing his contract and so the former Real Madrid player is ready to pack his bags.
It is not yet known whether Pepe will hang up his boots after the European Championship, for which he was called up by Roberto Martinez to lead his Portugal. At 41, it could be more likely that he will say goodbye to playing football, but with Pepe it is never a given. The certain thing is that his future will not be at Porto.
