The two teams faced each other head-on and created several scoring opportunities without, however, being able to find the right spark to break the deadlock. The most sensational, in the first half, fell on the feet of Bizet at the end, after a rejection by Giuliani on Graham Hansen, who from two steps and with a practically empty goal kicked high, pardoning the Italian team.
