Bologna, Zirkzee’s clause applies to all clubs. But there is no rush to choose

Joshua Zirkzee’s clause applies to all clubs, not just Bayern Munich. In the winter months there were some discussions to possibly raise it up to 60-70 million – in exchange for an improvement in wages – but the situation did not take off. The Dutch center forward can therefore present himself with 40 million and free himself, terminating the contract that binds him to the rossoblù. Then there would be a possible bureaucratic knot to understand if 40% of the resale (over 8 million) will then end up in Bavaria, but this will almost certainly be the case.

Where will Zirkzee go? The reality is that at this moment there is no certainty. It’s true that Milan and Juventus have pressed in recent weeks – and Inter could do so in the event of Thuram’s sale – but the Premier League is calling quite clearly. Except for Manchester City, which is already quite “full” in the slots up front, the 40 million clause is tempting, especially considering that Hojlund was bought last year for 75 million plus 10 million in bonuses (and commissions).

The reality is that there is no rush to decide. Of course, Bologna is trying to equip itself to replace him as best as possible and perhaps considers Zirkzee now close to a sale. Now, however, there is still no substantial news, but at any moment the situation could change.
