How does Real change with Mbappé? Ancelotti doesn’t see Bellingham in midfield: he will have to exclude a big player

Yesterday Kylian Mbappe he made it known that his next club will soon be official. It is certainly no mystery what the next stage of his career will be: after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the star of the French national team will move to Real Madrid and will replenish a department, the offensive one, which is already teeming with talent with Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham and also with the next signing Endrick. So how will Carlo Ancelotti’s team play next year?

In Spain, many fans, and even some insiders, imagine a Real Madrid with the Vinicius-Rodrygo-Mbappé trident, with Bellingham in a further back position, on the midfielder line. But Ancelotti doesn’t see it that way. According to what was reported by Relevo, the Italian coach believes that such a deployment would break the team’s balance, especially in important matches. For him, Rodrygo, Vinicius and Mbappé cannot play together from the start, at least not in matchday matches against important teams. Mainly for reasons of balance, pressing and defensive approach.

Clearly the arrival of a player of Mbappé’s profile is compelling Don Carlo to review his plans and also puts him in a bit of a difficult situation with his management. The former Milan and Napoli player, however, does not intend a priori to satisfy the wishes of his managers and should simply replace Rodrygo with Mbappé in the starting eleven.

This would also explain the recent public release of Rodrygo in an interview with DAZN: “Anything can happen. I have a contract here but… The years I spent here were very good for me. As I always said, I want to stay at this club but let’s see what happens. Everything is possible.”
