Maxime Gonalons leaves Clermont. Through its official channels, the French club has announced that the midfielder has decided not to renew his contract and therefore will not follow the team to Ligue 2, after the relegation which arrived at the end of the just concluded season.
Gonalons, formerly of Roma, Sevilla and Lyon, has played 23 games this season between Ligue 1 and Coupe de France, with one goal and one assist to his credit. There are 48 total appearances in two seasons for the 35-year-old, who now has to decide whether or not to continue his adventure as a professional footballer.
