Kompany will be the new Bayern coach, Muller: “We can look to the future”

“Our sporting director chose Kompany.” This is how Karl Heinz Rummenigge spoke about the Bayern Munich coach. After a season in which no titles were achieved, the red and white team of Bavaria decided to part ways with Thomas Tuchel (the news of his farewell arrived months ago) focusing on a young coach who has a good outlook. The choice therefore fell on the Belgian former Manchester City player who did well at Anderlecht, obtaining a fourth and third place and less well at Burnley, relegated this year after last season’s promotion.

The announcement should come soon with the Germans having their own coach. Kompany thought about welcoming us Thomas Muller who directly from Germany’s retreat wanted to comment on the news: “If it’s all true then I’m happy that we now have a coach and we can start planning, so to speak. Everything else will then happen in July. But now we have to put it aside – he declared, focusing only on the national team – obviously I am happy that we at the club can now look firmly to the future.”

The former defender will sign a contract until 2027 with Bayern. The agreement already exists and, as mentioned, we are only waiting for the official confirmation which will arrive only after putting pen to paper.
