Inter, first move by Oaktree: the club’s shareholders’ meeting set for June 4th

Oaktree officially makes his first move as owner of Inter, after taking over the club from the Zhang family following the enforcement of the pledge. According to what he reports La Gazzetta dello Sport, the fund has called the meeting of the club’s shareholders (i.e. Oaktree and 0.4% of small shareholders) for Tuesday 4 June. In eight days the expected deed of incorporation of the new corporate course will be held: the new Board of Directors and the new president will be appointed, who could be both a “guarantee” name linked to the fund and a face loved by the fans.

The call began in recent days and this step will allow the fund to operate freely and be able to plan the next season until June 30th, the balance sheet closing date. The three faces who have been in charge of Inter since 2021 will certainly be present in the new Board of Directors: Alejandro Cano, Katherine Ralph and Italian Renato Meduri. Tomorrow this trio will meet the management and Simone Inzaghi to plan the season and give, it is believed, the guidelines on the incoming and outgoing market.

As is known, tomorrow the coach Simone Inzaghi will meet the new owners of the club. After confirming the management, Oaktree’s idea is to move forward with confidence even with the current coach: in addition to the results that nail him to the Nerazzurri bench, his firm and kind ways are appreciated. The way he managed to keep the locker room together is much appreciated.
