At the Olimpico everything happened in a minute. Lazio and Sassuolo drew 1-1 on the evening that saw the return of Sven Goran Eriksson to the Olimpico. A point that allows the Biancocelesti to qualify for the next Europa League while the Emilian Neroverdi said goodbye to Serie A on the last day after the defeat against Cagliari at the Mapei Stadium. The hosts took the lead in the 65th minute with Zaccagni but sixty seconds later Viti equalized the score.

Tudor’s analysis
“Congratulations go to the boys. – declared Igor Tudor – achieved a good goal like the Europa League and seventh place. A good journey has been made in recent months since I arrived and it ended today with a draw. For the future clearly there is work to be done, we all know this. We have already spoken with the club to try to do the right things and build the best possible team. There is nothing new, we will see in the next few days.”

Ballardini’s words
This is Davide Ballardini’s comment instead: “Every match has a value, it’s not true that it didn’t count for anything because you always have to respect the shirt and the commitment. We’ve said it many times that the team wasn’t used to playing these matches, with many young people who have never fought to avoid relegation. We have been fragile in recent months, if we also add that we never had the most representative player available, this meant that Sassuolo was relegated.”
