PSG, new criticism for Donnarumma: “When he jumps he seems lower than when he doesn’t”

Paris Saint-Germain ends the season with another trophy. Last night Luis Enrique’s boys narrowly beat Olympique Lyon in the final and won the Coupe de France, thus obtaining the French Double after having also triumphed in Ligue 1. Gianluigi Donnarummadespite its success, has once again received some criticism from French experts.

Daniel Rioloone of the most popular French television commentators, on RMC Sports, during the ‘After Foot’ broadcast, drew attention to an action in which our national team’s goalkeeper missed an exit. “When he jumps he looks lower than when he doesn’t jump. And then he misses the ball,” the journalist declared.

Also Foot Market did not give him a passing grade in his report card (5.5 rating) for the same reason: “As too often happens, the PSG goalkeeper was not imperial in his aerial play, especially on free kicks. However, he positioned himself perfectly on a shot header by Nicolás Tagliafico. Apart from this save, the Italian had no other attempts to repel.”
