The CEO of Sassuolo, Giovanni Carnevalibefore the press conference on the eve of the match against Davide Ballardini’s Lazio, took the floor to thank the coach, despite the painful relegation of the neroverdi which came last week: “I wanted to thank the coach, his staff, for what was done although the desired result was not achieved but I feel like thanking him because we got to know the people. I wish you and your group the best of luck.”
Davide Ballardini’s response: “Thanks to you and the properties. To the collaborators we have found here who are extraordinarily valid, I’m sorry but we’ll stop here because there’s no need to say anything else.”
What does this experience leave you with?
“He leaves me with many good things because as I have always said, the ownership, the managers, we met serious and capable people. There is pleasure for this but there is equally disappointment for not having obtained a result that you could have achieved, on the other ‘It’s also the fact that it’s never happened to us that we get to 12 games from the end, there’s very little time, two and a half months, so there’s little time to move.”
