After the disastrous spell on the bench of Birmingham (2 wins in 15 games), Wayne Rooney starts again from the Championship. The former English striker is in fact the new manager of Plymouth, a club that survived by just one point (51 against the 50 achieved by Birmingham).

These are Rooney’s words: “This is an important milestone in my career and I would like to thank the President and the Board for the trust they have shown in me. This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting project. I can’t wait to help build a team that plays well and makes the fans happy. I know how talented this group of players is and I have also had the chance to evaluate the incredible atmosphere at Home Park act. I am grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait for the season to begin.”
