The Venetian retreat of the Torres, with captain Luigi Scotto who spoke to the club’s official channels at the end of the retreat: “It was a period in which we pushed hard and tried to bring the group together, we played three high-level friendlies that gave us indications on what was best and what we were doing well. My goals and assists in the test matches? Starting well is positive. Surely for a striker, reaching double figures, as I did last year, is very important, but more important is being able to play a championship in which we will entertain, we will have fun and we will remain at the top of the rankings. Everyone must bring their own characteristics to the table, at the service of the group”.
The Sassari team will also be a protagonist for the first time in the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa, in a challenge as a former player for the striker: “I spent two years in Mantua, I had a great time and I did well, it will be a pleasure to meet my former team again. But let’s focus on the match, we will meet a very strong opponent, who plays an important game: we should be good at trying to limit them. We will also find Ruocco, among the red and whites: seeing him in Serie B is a source of pride for us, in these three years he has had a good journey with us, and seeing that with his qualities he can face a cadet championship gives us enormous satisfaction”.
He concludes: “Last year there was a great symbiosis between the club, the fans, the team… this is the first starting point that we have to ride. There are many ambitions, but we have to be realistic, we must not set limits but in any case we will have to live both the good moments and the more negative ones”.
