Next year there will be as many foreign as Italian properties, is it increasingly difficult to stay in the carousel? This is one of the questions asked in the press conference Maurizio Settipresident of Hellas Verona who met with journalists today to take stock of the Scaligeri season after salvation: “I think that on paper it’s as you say, the foreign properties that arrive have significant spending capacity and investments, I would be happy to have a partner, a partner. Then when you enter our environments I think I can still be there. I think this has been the most difficult championship I have faced I hope the arguments that say it’s more convenient to go to B to get a parachute will end, it’s mind-blowing bullshit, also because B is increasingly difficult.”
In another passage, however, Setti also complained about the costs of keeping the team in the top division: “Then it’s true that in Serie A there are now truly shocking costs and it’s increasingly difficult. The rights are less and less and the expenses are more and more, we have to arrive at what is self-sustaining football.”
