Giroud: “I’m not going to MLS to be a tourist. Ibrahimovic explained to me what awaits me”

Tomorrow evening against Salernitana Olivier Giroud he will play his last official match with the Milan shirt before moving to Los Angeles FC. To the microphones of The Team, the French striker commented on his choice to go to MLS as follows: “A few months have passed, knowing that I was at the end of my contract. I made this decision several months ago and it has come to fruition in the last few weeks. We already had to make the decision to go to MLS, then after seeing the club. The weight of the years is starting to make itself felt and I thought well. Playing every three days is increasingly complicated, especially at this level. I’m not going there to be a tourist, but I think it’s the right time for me.”

Giroud then said that he spoke with Zlatan Ibrahimovic about the American championship (the Swede played for the Los Angeles Galaxy): “Did I talk to Ibra about the MLS? Yes, he explained to me what awaits me. He told me that I will be able to have fun because the attackers have many scoring opportunities. He also said to be careful not to get heat stroke when we play in Houston or Dallas in the summer.”
