The CEO of the sports area of Modena, Matteo Rivettispoke during the press conference to present Andrea Catellani as the new sporting director of the Canaries:
“I would like to take this opportunity to provide an update on the situation of the sports centre: we are in the final phase of the bureaucratic process, we should receive the final positive opinions by the end of July and for all this I thank the Municipality of Nonantola and the Province. Once this last step has been completed, we will be ready to start work. Returning to the team, and given that there is so much talk about it, we believe that, at this moment in our project with Modena, the right range is between 10 and 12 million euros of budget per season, in line with a sustainability that we consider fundamental, consider the difficulties that football can suddenly bring you.
Furthermore, regarding the topic of relations with the prosecutors’ agencies, I would like to reiterate that in the three seasons with Vaira and also in the future we will always have good relations with everyone, we have never had a specific one and we will not have one. We are not against loans from big clubs, but we want to have our own structure, not making and unmaking the team every season.”
