The penultimate day of LaLiga delivered the final expected verdicts. Cadiz fails to beat Las Palmas at home and, thanks to Mallorca’s draw, is the third and last team relegated to the second division.
Barcelona beat Rayo 3-0 and definitively locks up second place: Girona remains on four points despite the success on the Valencia pitch. The fight for Europe has also been decided: Real Sociedad beats Seville and joins their cousins Athletic in the Europa League, while Betis will play in the Conference. Out of everything Villarreal, who come back from Real Madrid in the spectacular 4-4 draw at the Estadio de la Ceramica: great protagonist Sorloth, author of a poker and now Pichichi solitaire of the championship.
