TMW
Mauro Melusoformer sporting director of Spezia and Naples, interviewed by TMW in the address book Face to faceanalyzes the Serie B championship:
Serie B: Spezia, Pisa and Sassuolo are doing well.
“The teams that are in command play excellent football and are deservedly up there. Sassuolo has players who would play in Serie A for any team. Spezia has given continuity to the coach and has done an excellent job on the transfer market, showing important pragmatism and is a candidate for winning the championship. Pisa has ownership that cares about the team’s fate and is investing a lot.”
Palermo and Sampdoria disappoint. Cremonese is in confusion and has changed coach again, bringing back Stroppa.
“We can’t talk about a flop yet. Especially in the case of Palermo and Sampdoria even if the latest results have not been brilliant. Cremonese deserves a separate discussion: these constant changes of coach indicate that the problem is not there but perhaps elsewhere, you cannot take a coach like Corini and sack him after a few games. But there are capable managers who will know what to do for the good of Cremonese.”
